Looking for vegetarians

So we’re in the process of getting breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks sorted for Barcamp Ghent and I almost forgot to ask if there are any vegetarians planning to attend? So erhm, are there any vegetarians planning to attend? If you happen to know anyone on the list of attendees who fits the profile, do let me know so I can take that into account.

Barcamp Ghent participants now 95

Just wanted to let everyone know that, because of the rapidly expanding list of participants, we decided to set the maximum number of attendees to 95. We also ordered extra T-shirts and tried to get everyone the shirt size they requested. A big thank you to the people at MOBBOA for the help in getting the shirts printed (the company might sound familiar to a few bloggers out there :P)

We’re at 94 participants at the moment so that means we have one extra open spot left. If you happen to register after number 95, please do add your name to the list. In case someone cancels we will be filling in the gaps.

Sigma 200-500 f/2.8 lens

Hey honey, I ordered that new Sigma lens I told you about.

Panasonic LX2 repaired

When I inquired about the status of the LX2 a week or so ago the people at Pixmania told me they’d get back to me somewhere halfway March. Today though, they sent me an email informing me that the camera has been repaired and sent back to me. 3 weeks earlier than expected. Decent turnaround (if the problem has been fixed, that is).

Photo/Flickr meetup in Bruges

Both Tom and Matthias have already written a post about it, so I’ll keep mine short :). Saturday, March 15th the people behind achtduizend.be are organizing a photo/flickr meetup in Bruges. The idea is to bring together people with a passion for photography and guide them around the lesser known parts of this wonderful city.

Everyone is invited. If you have a camera and you enjoy photography then you should certainly join in the fun. We’re not targeting this event at ‘pro’ photographers. I think Matthias said it best: if you can hold a camera, you’re more then welcome!.

So, what’s the program?
14:00: we meet up in front of the train station
14:15: a guided tour through the city center of Bruges
16:30: free walk around, check out some of the lesser known places
18:30: dinner (location to be determined)
21:00: night photography for those interested

If this sounds like fun and your shutter release finger is starting to tingle then head over to the wiki page and register. Do mention if you’re planning on staying for dinner though. It makes it easier for us to make reservations.
